Gravity Falls: The Thousand Year Door is a Japanese-American Anime series. It began August 9, 2014 in every region of the world and has continued since then. Currently 2 seasons have been made with the series already renewed for a third.
The series premiered on Toonami, the Saturday nighttime block after Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.
The series is a crossover of the animated show Gravity Falls and the video game Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It follows the main characters of Dipper Pines and Pacifica Northwest as they arrive in the Mushroom Kingdom through a strange pipe found in the Forest. They team up with Mario and a goomba girl named Goombella to find their friends and uncover the Crystal Stars to open the Thousand Year Door.
Currently 25 episodes have been made running along the course of 2 seasons. The first three episodes were considered a three part series premier and are not part of the first season.
Each season has a different opening theme and ending theme.
Three Part Series PremierEdit
The first three episodes aired on August 7, 8, and 9 respectively, and the following episodes aired on Saturdays at 3:30 AM.
The Opening theme for these episodes is "Complication" by the Japanese band ROOKiEZ Is Punked.
The Ending theme for these episodes is "Bakusou Yumeuta" by the Japanese band Diggy-MO'.
Season 1: Castle And DragonEdit

Season 3 has yet to air, but is set to run toward the end of 2014.
The entire first season won 3 Japanese awards called the ファンの世界 awards in mid September 2014. The second season was nominated for 2 ファンの世界 awards but only won one of them.
